About This Artwork
‘Flash Back’ – 1946 Buick Roadmaster. I’m interested in portraying vintage vehicles as they deteriorate within the landscape. The ‘Grilles Series’ explores nature’s reclamation of vehicles that have arrived at a final, full stop. Long forgotten and discarded, perhaps artwork can capture one last gesture of significance.
Vision Statement
I want to investigate the Rusty Relic Roadsters, the Grassland Gas-Guzzlers, the Historic Hoopties wasting away in the wastelands. I hope to capture the beauty of the Vintage Veterans, the Bone Yard Bangers, the Crumbling Clunkers before they completely disintegrate. And by doing so, resuscitate the Junkyard Jalopies, the Lemon Lizzies, Rust-Bucket Autos as they antiquate. Long forgotten and discarded, perhaps my ‘Grilles Series’ can recapture one last gesture of their significance.
‘Flash Back’ – watercolor and wax pencil on Fluid 100 archival/acid-free H/P.

Why I Don’t Sell Prints of My Work
I love to draw and paint. My passion is in the creation, not the reward. I’m not interested in the minutiae of prepping and selling prints of my work. I price my original artworks affordably, just to cover my material costs – plus a modest margin. I want my artworks to be collected, enjoyed and priced within most anyone’s budget.
